Strongly influenced by the French film technique of cinéma vérité, ‘Blue Street’ follows the exploits of four college friends who, troubled by problems at home and in their private lives, find new ways to relieve their pent up frustration and angst. Filmed in and around Southampton, it was the film maker’s wish to produce an uncomfortable viewing experience by making the audience feel complicit in the violence on screen.
